James Cleland, jeweler and designer, is most notable for his lifelike nature forms which include butterflies, insects, trees, flowers and mushrooms. The pieces are recreated so realistically that it looks as if a sterling silver cricket could jump right off the counter. By a process of heating the metal and then hammering it into the fabricated form, the jewelry is so amazingly lifelike that they even display tiny hairs, segmented legs, and rippled wings.
